Treating lung cancer patients poses significant challenges, particularly in deciding between combined chemoradiotherapy and chemotherapy alonefor large tumor volumes, where minimizing radiation exposure to surrounding healthy tissue is critical. Developing an appropriate radiotherapy treatment plan is a time-consuming and labor-intensive process. Deep learning can effectively assist in predicting radiation dose distribution. Thus, this study focuses on developing a deep learning-based dose prediction model for lung cancer using the volumetric arc technique (VMAT).
