Description :
Proton therapy is increasingly used in cancer treatment because it can give high dose to the while sparing surrounding normal tissues. DNA damage is an important biological effect induced by radiation. The most critical DNA damage type, double strand breaks (DSBs), can cause cell death if the DNA is not repaired or misrepaired. Radiobiological experiments related to proton therapy should be performed using therapeutic beams.
